The hard, non-porous surface retains its polished lustre and does not need sealing treatment on the surface.  Therefore, Quartz countertops can handle oil, tomato, wine, coffee, juice and many other stainable products. Quartz doesn’t hold viruses or bacteria and it can be cleaned and maintained with normal or soapy water.

Quartz countertops are very hard and durable and are resistant to chipping, etching, and scratches. However, quartz countertops are considered UV unstable, which means that they can discolor in direct sunlight. This surface can also be damaged by heat from, which can be prevented by using trivets and other heat-diffusing objects.

    Care and Maintenance

    Maintenance

Clean Quartz countertops with soap and water or a household cleaner. Quartz countertops are  maintenance-free. Because it is a solid surfaces (the quartz chips or dust is suspended in resin), it never needs to be resealed.

    Things to Avoid

    •  Acidic cleaners such as vinegar or ammonia.
    • Leave spills sitting on the countertop. The resins can sometimes also be stained by some common household oils, so care should be taken to wipe up any oil spills immediately.
    • Avoid excessive heat: Quartz can be damaged by excessive heat so use heating pads at all times.
    • Avoid cutting and chopping food directly on your quartz countertop, it can be tempting because quartz is durable and hard but we do not recommend it. We encourage the use of a cutting board when chopping, cutting, and slicing food. Quartz is scratch resistant but they are not scratch proof.
