Reasons to choose Granite

Natural Stone

Granite is a coarse-grained igneous rock composed mostly of quartz, alkali feldspar, and plagioclase. It is nearly always massive, hard, and tough. These properties have made granite a widespread construction stone throughout human history.

Granite is quarried worldwide.

Durability

Natural Stone

Granite is hard and tough stone with high durability. It's Scratch Resistance. Granite scores a seven on Moh’s scale of hardness. This means that very few minerals are able to scratch it. You can cut on it, but it isn’t recommended since this will dull your knives. A sealer on the stone, applied by a professional for best results, can extend the life of the counter and help it resist stains as well.

Care and Maintenance

Basic Maintenance

While you can use soap and warm water, there are many cleaners available on the market that are designed for use with granite. Apply the cleaner and wipe your counter down with a soft towel. Make sure to use only neutral cleaners

Annual l Maintenance

It’s recommends resealing most granites annually, but the timeline can vary depending on use and which sealer was applied.

Things to Avoid

  •  Acidic cleaners such as vinegar or ammonia. If you use acidic cleaners, you might remove any sealant from the countertop, which will leave the surface vulnerable to damages.
  • Leave spills sitting on the countertop
